Dr. Aldo Flores-Quiroga, Deputy Secretary of energy for hydrocarbons in Mexico, stated on the opening day of Offshore Technology Conference 2017 (OTC 2017) that Mexico is ready to invest in oil & gas exploration.
The Canada‐Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C‐NLOPB or the Board), Canadian offshore oil & gas regulators, has issued a call for bids in three parcels of Jeanne d’Arc region.
At the 6th Latin American Energy Economics Meeting, held in Rio de Janeiro on April 3, 2017, Paulo Pedrosa, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, declared that Brazilian government aims to raise 7.2 billion euros (24 billion Reais) with auctions to explore and produce Oil and Gas in the presalt exploration areas.
Offshore Oil & Gas platforms are engineering projects with pharaonic sizes, taking several years and billions of dollars to be completed. But when completed, they are able to extract Oil & Gas from one of the most inhospitable places on the planet: oceans’ soil.
New Zealand is offering a large area of offshore and onshore acreage for oil and gas companies to explore. Bids should be submitted before September 6, 2017 in order to obtain exploration permits.
